For a long time, I've often viewed certain types of music in terms of color or black and white. Although I could never claim to "see" colors as such, for me, certain music does evoke certain visual representations.

Example: I'm a big fan of DJ Shadow. I've always equated his cut-and-paste style to the likes of what Carl Stalling did with the Warner Bros cartoons in the 30's and 40's. So therefore I see his stuff as being very colorful. I can't really explain why. Their styles are fundamentally very different. I guess it's because Shadow's work has a very non-structure structure in terms of composition. It's not so much a song per se as it is a melange of sounds and/or musical themes brought together.

Did that make any sense?
