My collection is all at home, and there's kind of a lot there so it'd be hard for me to go from the top of my head. There is a very good chance the version you heard was from radio. SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK ALIEN (acoustic at KCRW)available on rare on the air 4 is a great version, so that may be it.
Haven't heard of a jazz trio tribute either...I've got 2 string instrument tributes, one piano tribute, one electronica tribute, and a rock tribute, but the jazz one is new on me. Lemme know if you find out more.
