In my opinion a movie only fails when it disapoints its target audience, the reason why a movie can make 100 million dollars and still suck is because they use Ideas like Hey lets make a movie about (insert hero)...but while were at it lets try to make money...the only way we see as we can make money is to change the story so more people can enjoy it. These thoughts are bad thoughts, the x-men movie could have been a great Movie even without the huge numbers, if at the least they make the fans happy. Money shouldnt be the only objective in making a movie like this, I think if Jack Kirby were still around he'd agree with me, as Im certian Hitchcock would. These men were greats in their frilds, and they never ruined a movie the way these new directors are. I might like the hellboy movie, I wont find out until I see it, but I have decided to set my expectations low, that way im not too disapointed when it sux.(it might be badass)
