I guess I was not clear. It is a matter of contrast—the depth of perception between
doldrums such as Meryl Streep or Matt Damon and Mr. Affleck. Mr. Affleck is that bright light
blinding us from having to endure the pathetic performances of these other "award winners".
He shines and the others fade. That is why Mr. Affleck is cast with the likes of Morgan
Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton . The directors can have Mr. Affleck carry their films with his
overflowing natural talent and not have to squeeze dry rags like Samuel L. Jackson, Christina
Ricci, or Matthew McConaughey to get a decent performance. It is that contrast that perfects
and highlights Mr. Affleck's genious.

: Ben Affleck is great, but your post is pretty weird. You roughly say that true acting can be
seen in Keannu Reeves and Reese Witherspoon. Are you serious? There is nothing special
about them. And Ashton Kutcher, while a comedic genious, has not been in anything that
would make me think he was a "true actor."
