*i find it really odd that you feel so strongly about this that you actually chose to slam ben in your username.

*i find it incredibly odd that you think winger rules, as per your email address.

*i find it just plain old odd that someone from south dakota purports to have such an insight into why directors in general and kevin in specific would or would not use their actor of choice in any project they deemed appropriate.

*i also find it typical and disheartening that more people can’t break their paragraphs properly.

but to answer your question, he's really good looking and is often quite genuine, and that puts butts in the seats.

: Can someone explain to me why Affleck is considered such an asset to ANY project. Any actor with any self respect would not do a movie like Gigli. He is the same character in every movie. Don't you have to "get into character", don't you "play the part"? I didn't think that it was,
: "Here just read this the best you can.". Everytime I see him its the same lack of quality that makes me wonder why. Why directors use him. I could act better with one lip. I know HollyWood is hard-up for good leading male actors. And, I apologize Kevin, your movies generally rock and I know you started his career, you guys are buddies, and he is in your new movie, but it may seem to some, that you are maybe trying to cash in on his popularity by making a movie like "Jersey Girl", I can sort of understand I guess after Chasing Amy. But, I would rather watch Vin Diesel pretend he can act than sit through anything at all with Affleck in it.
: Thanks for responses. (Damon is another topic all together:)
: We need Jay & Silent Bob II
