Even though I'll admit Axl's voice is an acquired taste... Slash was about as good a guitarist as you can be and be popular in the mainstream, the rest of the band was tight as hell and... they were always trying something new. That's more than can be said for 99% of musical acts out there and 99.9% of popular acts.
