you did nothing wrong. Kevin discussed the Superman script once at San Diego Comic Con ( I think it was in 1999). The discussion was filmed and was once posted at newsaskew.com. I tried looking for it again, but couldn't find it.
If you keep searching the archives you may find it. It's probably either a .ram file or a .mov file
