I get the distinct impression this won't help.

: I am so friggin immature, but it seems like every day brings more signs that I am getting older. It sucks. I'm 30... will be 31 in december.

First, you're only as old as you *think* you are. I turned 32 just yesterday and I'm nowhere close to being old.

: 1. I got carded for cigarettes. when I went to reach for ID, he laughed and said he was kidding. how is that funny unless I am 72 years old?

I get carded for cigarettes all the time - and alcohol. As a matter of fact, I'm more surprised when I don't get carded.

: 2. I don't know half the people on music award shows

Having a nine year old helps with this - seriously. It keeps you in touch with all things current.

: 3.my hair, getting gray

My hair is still as blonde as ever, without the help of dyes, bleach or peroxide.

: 4.Young people look younger. Like, a 17 year old looks like she may be 12 or so to me

Most people can't or won't believe me when I tell them how old I am.

: 5. More and more of my anecdotes begin with "10 years ago..."

Well, I do admit to this, but, well, yeah....

: and a ton of other stuff. make me feel better and tell me stuff that makes you far too aware of your aging ass.

I'm sorry I can't do that for you. I feel better and younger than I did when I was 25. I have no wrinkles, no gray, and I look young for my age.

Of course, I do have the advantage of good genetics. My dad is 51 and doesn't look a day over 35 - well, right now he might, but that's only circumstances.
