I remeber loving the hell out of that film when it first came out......
And I hadn't seen it in years (I been waiting for the DVD release)....
It has such a brilliant opening and closing.....I love that a Pogues song ends the movie.....
but ultimately the movie is soooooo affected....the Shakespearean stuff feels clumsy........Flea is the most annoying actor on the planet......Keanu is.....well....Keanu.
The film coulda used more Rivers Edge Keanu than Point (whoah!) Break Keanu
At times the film maddeningly misses the mark...
It's half genius.....and half unbearable...
Which is better than 99% of whats out there
