I was always a little dissapointed in J&SBSB, I thought it was a funny film and Iwas entertained by it but I couldn't help but feel that it was a little bit of a let down after everything that it could have been...
I remember back when it was first being touted as being the final instalment of the saga and back then it was said that it would wrap up all of the plot points from the other flicks, it was going to have little quirks in it like the interior of the quick stop being shot in black and white whilst the outside world would be in colour, there was a lot of talk about plot threads and how it would all pan out...
there is also the sleeve notes from Chasing Amy to consider where Kevin states that he was glad to return Jay and Silent Bob to their former glory after the out and out slapstick of Mallrats...
as I've said, I did find the film funny and I'm glad that I saw it and I'm glad that I own it, I just didn't feel it was quite the ending to Jay and Bob that they should have had, which is why I'm also glad that Kevin is now returning to more dramatic stuff with Jersey Girl.
