DEFINITELY WORTH SEEING!
it was everything the original would have been with a bigger budget. no humor though, except for R. Lee Ermie playing one of Leatherface's brothers. there was more torture in this movie. and the victims weren't all knocked off quick in the beginning leaving the last girl to be chased for 45 minutes. they were spaced out nicely.
IMO it wasn't just a remake in that the same things happened with different actors. it was more like another installment in the series. kind of like on TCM: the new generation where it was a different family of psychos completely.
anyway, that's my take on it for those of you who care.
