sorry - work raised it's ugly head for a minute... meetings gotta love'em

where was I? oh yes - Burroughs yes have read the book and on reflection I find that stuff I found insightful and meaningful when I was 20(ish) i.e. Burroughs, some Heinlein, Kerouac, Peake, Hunter S. Thomson (sp?) and Huxley etc etc
I now find self-indulgent crap. This isn't meant as an attack on their works - they still stand a amazing literary achievements - but rather my take on them... as a parent and boring working stiff, my outlook has changed...
glad you like Burroughs deserves to be read whether you hate it or love it. I'm a firm believer that reading stuff - even if you detest it is important - if you only ever read stuff you like, where's the challenge?(intellectually) - even gladder people still read books!
