Hey Kevin,

My brother and I are huge fans of your work. Sadly enough, our actually personalities bear remarkable similarities to Dante and Randal. We decided to make a small independent film, even more low-budget than your first, entitled "Cheese Fries." We have finished about the thirtieth edit of the script, which is nearing 100 pages, and is ready to be filmed but we have encountered a problem. We have discovered that although our film is an independent project, we still need to acquire licensing for the songs playing in the movie. What would you suggest in this situation? How did you get rights to the Alice in Chains and Bad Religion songs in Clerks and how much did it cost for the licensing?

We appreciate the time that you have vested in reading our letter. We are determined to make this movie and hope that someone experienced in the matter such as yourself can offer us some advice that would be conducive to our efforts.

Jeff & Chris De La Pena
