During the past few years I have enjoyed and loved all Kevin Smith films, but one question keeps propping up and this is ... is Kevin Smith an Auteur? (For those who do not understand what this means it is quite simply and artist of films, a solo man who makes the film that film just because he wrote or directed it)

Everyone who reads this please answer to this question.

Please refer to similarities in his filiming style, how his camera angles are shot , colours used.... In other words what makes Kevin Smith films special compared to your normal comedy films?

Does his independant films and mainstream films show a similar style? what is this style?
