If memory serves, he used to watch it Sunday mornings while at work at the Quick Stop; either way, I know he watched it when PBS re-aired them in the USA and really loved it.
If you watched the pilot/premiere ep for 'the New Generation', Kevin was supposed to play Caitlin's boyfriend, the Hollywood director. He didn't, due to scheduling conflicts, but he was gonna.
I wish a channel would show the old episodes, 'cause the new show is amazing. My roommate got me hooked on it. I would've gotten into it sooner, but the channel that re-runs them in the US [The N / Noggin] doesn't show them in any sort of order, so it takes a while to actually understand characters and motivation and storylines and such.
