dude, not to be a bummer and shite, but, they are using the rain, have been since the first one as as visual aid to the matrix coding, watch the coding, watch the rain, take the first one for example, the way the rain falls off the bridge, or on the windows of the car, it's just imagry they've been using to connect the two mentally.
No real reasoning, no real symbalism beyond that. It's parrallelism in visual form.
