Hi,
First of all, I must say that I am a huge fan... I have absoloutly loved every Kevin Smith movie so far. Chasing Amy changed my life and was one of the big things that has inspired me to write.
For a while now I've been seriously thinking about making my own small low budget movie and at last I have come to a decision to do it. I'm even looking at selling my comic book collection to help fund it, I'm just not sure if I'm ready to part ways with them yet. The question I have is how exactly do I do this?? I have two different ideas to go with, one of them depends on whether or not I can strike the interest of a local Australian stand up comedian.. so if that falls through I have another idea to go with. Oh yeah, I live in Australia too.. One of the things I was wondering is how I get the film out there after i finish making it?? And can I make it by just using a digital camera and an editing program from my home computer?? Any advise that you could give me would be much appreciated, or even any questions you want to ask abouts my scripts to get a better idea of what kind of film i'm making, feel free.
