: : would i? my ignorance? i don't believe that ignorance is a factor here, i've read the Bible and as far as the religion itself goes ( not the assholes who screw it up ) it does make logical sense.

: The Christian Bible is inherently "screwed up" in the myriad of mistranslations, editing, etc. through the ages. The Bible is rife with internal contradictions and therefore is illogical.

:no no no,-The Old Testament, do you know what that is?

http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html

taking your notes down from a website, in which is problably bogus or biased.

: : the bible is the most accurate book ever written historically as well, if you don't believe me look for yourself, so many events that happened before christ (b.c) are recorded in the Bible accurately.

: This statement is wrong in so many ways that I'm not sure where to begin destroying it. The Bible is most certainly NOT "the most accurate (history) book ever written"; what could POSSIBLY lead you to this conclusion? Michael Crichton's books have a good foundation of solid science, does that make those books non-fiction? Having a modicum of historical reference does NOT make the Bible a history book.

The bible itself was WRITTEN then, while the events occur, now yes it's been rewritten a lot but the basic aspects are the same. if i'm not wrong they've found the actual tablets or scrolls that the bible was written on, when compared to the current Bible today (old testament isn't just in the Christian bible), it was basically the same thing with some minor changes to words and ect from the transformation from Hebrew to Latin and whatever other it was written in. So don't tell me that it's inaccurate because it really is accurate... once again i think your looking at the wrong aspect of my original statement.

: If you would actually read the Bible critically, you would find that it is historically AND morally worthless.

Read the Bible critically? please explain to me what critically is and how i have somehow not read it? Morally worthless? now don't you think that's a little biased from you personal beliefs? now who's being ignorant?
