I'm not scared of not being "Catholic enough," and I'm not threatened by the dogma (sorry, I had to throw some kind of View Askew reference to justify my posting). I'm just afraid of what "complete devotion" could do to me. I don't want anything conflicting with my ability to reason and justify. I haven't been to church in about a couple months, haven't read the Bible since Confirmation and I don't really like praying. But leave me alone, I'm a Catholic, liberal and contemporary, but not just a name only one.
like i said there's a lot of things in the Catholic religion that have been man-made rules, not those of Gods... i mean it pisses me off when people judge others faith... i mean i don't go to church much ( because i just moved ) but i did a lot before, and i'm pro-life but that doesn't mean that i think your going to hell. i think that to judge someone else's faith and to be a bible beater ( someone who throws shit at you all the time if you know what i mean ) is complete and utter bullshit. only god has the power to judge someone by their heart, and their faith.
