If you're going to shoot a script about Jersey, why not shoot it in a major city with easy access to Jersey! I'm a South Jersey-ian that is about 15 miles from Philly...I even got to be in Jersey Girl for it...but it's too expensive to shoot in NY, so Philly is the next biggest city on the East Coast that resembles it...and you can duplicate a Jersey Suburb in Canada...it was appropriate to do it how he did
