Is it as good as the book? I read the book awhile ago and loved it, unfortunately most movies end up sucking when compared.
For those who haven't read it, it's by Dennis Lehane and it rocks. Can't really picture Sean Penn as the lead... my mental picture from the book was more of a younger Joe Montegna.
: MYSTIC RIVER has Oscar buzz, lot's of cool stars and it's directed by Clint Eastwood. It got an A rating all across the board just about so I think I made my choice on what to see first this weekend. Oh fuck I love Clint Eastwood movies.
