I like Sex in the City too, but I guess that line you mention is all in the eyes of the individual.
Of course, I have a broader definition of tasteful and/or vulgar than most.

I don't think her "it's only an apple" comment comes off as unintelligent, per se. Hypocritical, yes. Unintelligent, not necessarily.
Of course, that's not to say I think her either intelligent or not - I didn't see the show and haven't seen or heard too much from or about her outside her t.v. and film roles.
