SunnComm doesn't have a leg to stand on, and I'm sure they know it, so basically threatening to sic an army of lawyers on ths guy doesn't surprise me. They're only doing what any group of multi-million-dollar salary CEOs would do.
Halderman presented his personal findings in form of a student thesis, not a published "report," and nowhere did he make malicious claims against the company. Hopefully it will be recongized as a retaliatory lawsuit with no legal standing, if it ever gets that far.
I also hope Princeton stands up for him.
