...first I kind of want to apologize about that question I asked a while back about the girl from the Munich Film Festival that you and Scott met. Way too personal, uncalled for, shouldn't of asked.
I kind of have a dillema, though. I'm 16 and I'm an aspiring filmmaker. At a recent family wedding I got the chance to talk to two people that were responsible for some great films. We really hit it off, and, as they live in New York, rather than Hollywood they suggested that I'd be a great person hanging around the office or helping out with their next projects. Furthermore, my mother is in advertising, and she hooked me up so I can work on a shoot of some sort. I'm fairly confident that I can succeed as a filmmaker later on without connections, but I know things like this will make it easier. I'm thinking ahead 8 years until after film school, and the purist in me wants to be fair to people that don't know people and just work in a video store, write and produce something on my own, and the strategist in me wants to take the oppurtunities. Getting your advice would be a real honor.
