Saying things that were said by a person (or associated with them) is not, in itself, a joke.
If it were, I could just say, "Hey, my son is a fucking moron", and it would be a yo momma joke. But it's not, so I had to make a slightly more roundabout one.
Also, I heard that if you try to watch somebody die after you shot them, they never will. The trick is to pretend to ignore them while they die.
