: It makes me reflect on how lucky I am. I knew the pilot of Flight 11. That was the first plane that flew into the World Trade Center. I was his family's Nanny. His daughters were just children back then. I remember the farm in which he loved almost as much as the his children. I drove by this farm every morning on my way to work, and sometimes he was moving his plow alnog with other equipment between his fields. I used to beep my horn and wave. Sometimes I'd help with traffic for the time it took him to cross the wide backroad. I remember Aug 15, 2001 I was laid off from that job. As I was driving home I saw John at his driveway. I stopped and jokingly asked if him and Peggy ever needed a nanny again, give me a call... He said that he'd take me up on that offer. When he noticed the car seat in the back of my car and me being 6 months pregnant, he couldn't believe that it has been so long since we saw each other and that I had a family of my own. He smiled when I told him I had a son. He had 3 girls and I guess that he would of loved to have a son.
: I drove away as he said "it was nice seeing you again, have a good day." I returned the well wishes. Three weeks later he died. I am lucky to have known such a great man. He gave his land to migrant townsman so they could grow their produce to sell. He gave his time to flying on American Airlines, and he gave his love to everyone that knew him.
: As the anniversary of 9-11 approaches, please remember him.
