1) Iggy Pop 1979
Caught between "New Values" and "Soldier", Ig gave and gave to an intimate crowd at Philadelphia's Hot Club until the walls bled.
2) The Fall, City Gardens NJ, late 70's
All new songs, two drummers, and the phenomenal "Backdrop" to conclude it. Bliss.
3) Michael Nyman Band, Delaware Grand Opera House, late 90's
A rare stateside appearance that left me grinning for days.
4) Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, "Acme" tour
The only band that matters.
5) Ornette Coleman, Avery Fisher Hall, NY
Both acoustic and electric Coleman groups in an epic show that felt historical as you watched it.
