It's Palahniuk. All of his that I've read are great:

Fight Club
Survivor
Invisible Monsters (you want different, this is it)
Choke

As for Ellis (my favorites):

Less than Zero
The Rules of Attraction

Also, try some Vonnegut if you haven't:

Cat's Cradle
The Siren's of Titan
Slaughterhouse Five

I also really like Douglas Clegg (if you do the "horror" thing), try:

The Halloween Man
The Infinite

And, as always...you can't go wrong with Stephen King (most of the time, I mean). If you haven't read The Dark Tower series...you should check it out.

Also, Clive Barker is a good standby: The Great and Secret Show is my favorite.
