This one is going to be my third....so I know exactly what you are saying.
Cheers

: I recently read on here that a couple of you are expectant fathers... I'm sorry I can't remember your names (plus I'm lazy and dont feel like scrolling through endless threads) but first, I wanted to say congrats to you both...
: My son is 2 1/2 months old... and I just wanted you guys to know that you're in for one of the most amazing experiences of your life... There will be days, even in the first months, when your patience will be pushed to the max because of fussiness or crying etc. But that first smile, or little giggle, or look of love that you get, makes EVERYTHING worth while. Being a parent is one of the most wonderful gifts that you can every receive....
: So I just wanted to offer a bit of advice...
: I don't know either of your current situations... whether you're married or living with the mother etc. But I just want to stress how important it is for you to bond with your child in the first few months... (and after as well, but especially the first months)... My son's father has only seen him a couple times, and makes endless excuses why he can't come to see him, and because of this, he's missed becoming close to our son. It could still happen, I suppose, but the chances of it, at the rate he is going, are unlikely. I can't even begin to tell you how much babies learn just in the first 2 months.. My son is absolutely amazing and he's picking up on things so quickly... Please dont miss that for the world... It's the only opportunity you will have to experience their "firsts."
: Good luck to you guys... May God bless you and your families.
