Chances are you will get all bent out of shape by this comment too but what the hell. How did Kevin Smith 'CHANGE YOUR LIFE'? All through your ramblings I never found anything life changing at all. So you want to be a writer, good for you. Kevin may have inspired that, but it doesn't change your life.
