My daughter is now 9 1/2 months old. For the first six months I took the 1 am - 3 am shift with her (my wife and I slept in shifts, I'd grab a few hours then get up for the late shift. Baby didn't sleep much at night then.) While she spent some time playing on the floor, most of this was daddy snuggle time. She now sleeps through the night most nights, but still looks up and waves her arms at me happily when I come home. And then there's the zipping down the hall towards me with a look of "I'm going to see DADDY!" on her face. Nothing beats it.
Oh, and lest we forget, there's the post-bottle mouth-up sleeping face. Adorable as all get out.
