I was raised Catholic. And as a whole, I enjoy it. Do I believe in the doctrine in ever way? No... just the "jist" of it, if you will. And I believe that most Christian faiths have the same "jist". So I'm not opposed to attending services for another faith, but I enjoy the Catholic services best. It's probably more of a comfort zone, something I always knew growing up. And I like the ritualistic aspect of it with all of it's ancient symbolism and prayers. I think it's beautiful. But, had I been raised a different religion, I might feel differently. My husband is Baptist and hates Catholic services. But we both agree that each doctrine teaches essentially the same thing.
