John Travolta was definitely questioned about Scientology when he made BATTLEFIELD: EARTH.
Cruise hasn't yet made a movie that relates to his religion, and therefore wouldn't expect to be asked about it. But still, every big interview he does (not necessarily press junkets and stuff, but big articles in VANITY FAIR or shit like that) always, always ask about Scientology. Interviewers seem to ask him now less than they used to, just because he doesn't share anything about it.
