We have the one I refer to as "the Pirate". He comes complete with a cane, a bandana and an eye patch.

Then there is the one named Eddie that my "friend" so graciously introduced me to, and he has decided that I am his new girfriend. He stands at the corner and sells these little flyers that have nothing worth spending any money on. He only speaks to women.

Let's not forget the most famous bum in Calgary, the guy who will tell you "I'm an alcoholic and if you give me money I will use it to buy booze" Strangely the people of Calgary find this amusing and he almost always gets money from everyone he says this line to.
