I just read this article on Foxnews about children of sperm donors.
Does anyone else think it vitally important that children of donors should have access to at least the names of biological parents so that inadvertent inbreeding would be less likely? I know many states require a blood test prior to issuance of a marriage license, but I still think with the increasing number of AI (artificial insemination) conceptions that the potential is there for some major problems.
Imagine this: You meet Mr./Ms. Right, fall in love, etc. Your children have birth defects, only to find out that because you married a half-sibling without any knowledge of their genetic relation to you, you predisposed your children to health problems.
Anyone?
