Exactly Jason Lee is Fletch you said it yourself. He is a lot like Chase. I'm not bashing Kevin here folks. I know its the studio's decision. I read the article. I just think it sucks. Kevin wanted Jason and thats great, he should be Fletch but I see why the studios don't want him. But I think its a big mistake. And if Kevin wants to make a movie without him thats fine. But I think it would be an awesome fucking movie if Lee were in it. A younger Fletch getting his job with Lee at the helm is brilliant! Its gold, its what the movie needs. Its just sad that the people in charge don't see this. I don't know if it should be such a brand new interpretation. It could work out really well, but I did not read the books. I only know the Chevy Chase Fletch and its the one I know and love. Chevy Chase was brilliant back in the day. He's a shadow of his former self now and its sad. But Lee's comedic timing is perfect to be a young Chevy Chase Fletch and that is all I want to see. But unfortunately that will never be.
