Just got my dirty little hands on Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot... I bought it for the art work... that is to say, I bought it for Geof Darrow... not Frank Miller... but it's a great and twisted story to boot... Tin.
Does anyone out there get annoyed with loud engines in cars?... As my friend and I always yell when a loud or big engined car rolls by... "BIG ENGINE, SMALL DICK!!!" Yes, the big engine usually belongs to a male, and yes, they are probably compensating for something. Kind of like the big castle for the little king in Shrek.
Went and saw SWAT today... I'm tired of movies that just... I don't know if I can explain myself here... but I'm tired of movies that don't stand out... Movies that are formula made... "Look, if we do this or say this... the audience with laugh, the audience will cry... and if we do this, they will get excited and wet their pants." It's annoying. OOOOOOOOOO! Another action movie, big deal. They all look good, they all sound good... but you know what? They all look and sound the SAME! So did I enjoy SWAT? Sure... Am I going to forget SWAT? Yes. Let's expand minds, Hollywood... Oh wait, you probably have a law against that.
Blue jeans... will they ever go away? It's not that I don't like them... I love wearing jeans. But it seens almost impossible to replace them. They make you look good, they go with anything, they're durable and comfortable... so will they ever go away?... by the year 2100... will we (or they) still be wearing jeans? I don't think there is any other fabric that compares, comes close, or could even replace jeans as the foremost pants. Did I just say "foremost pants?"
Lastly... my brother just rented "Basic." Is it worth the 99 minutes? Of course, it IS John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson.
