Kevin, I recently worked as PA on a film shoot. Not for a movie actually, but extensive use of green screen was done. I had a really fun time, but was quite suprised how technical it all seemed. The lights were always being moved, taken away, added, etc etc etc. I want to be a film director, and have little interest in the very "technical" side of things but I know its important to know at least a little amount. How much would you consider your job as a director technical, and how much artistic?
I just sent in my application from Brooks film school up in ventura. Looks like I have a pretty good chance of getting in so far. Can't fuckin wait. Cross your fingers for me :)
