Kris Kristofferson, co-starred in Alice's Restaurant, made for $85,000 and grossed $26,000,000 US. Oh it was also nominated for three Oscars and wonf ro Best Actress.
Oh yea, he also was in that flop, "A Star Is born" with Barbra Striesand, which grossed $42,000,000 in 1976.
He did quite a bit of television movies in the eighties. Admittedly, he was in "Heaven's Gate", which pretty much killed its studio, but that was the fault of the director.
He worked in independent films such as "Lone Star" with a budget of only $5,000,000 grossed $14,000,000
He did several tv movies in between that and the 1998 release of his next box office disaster, "Blade" which grossed a paltry $75,000,000 in this country alone.
Then there was 1997, which saw him in the pathetic "Payback" starring Mel Gibson. That made a laughable $81,000,000 at the domestic box office. How horrible.
Then he was in "Planet of the Apes" which grossed all of $180,000,000 domestically. Gosh I would hate to have this guy's track record.
Oh, and what else did he do? "Blade 2" which returned an even more embarassing sum of $180,000,000 worldwide.
Yea, it must really suck to be Kris Kristofferson, starring in all these flops, having been nominated for an Oscar.
