although new ideas are mostly boring, dull, over-the-top, etc, there are the occasional ones that are in the good column. Whether you like them or not, movies like Pulp Fiction, Timecode, The Waking Life, and Clerks push the envelope enough to make you think, while using interesting characters that are well written in plotlines that are based on today's culture. As human culture is constantly evolving it there fore follows that these films must be original.
