You can never get a movie from a book that is true to the authors vision and that applies to the Bible as well.
they like to sell a sullen unemotional Jesus to us. Forgetting that tho in nature God he still went thru the things humans do because he was human in body.
He laughed, cried, had joy, sadness, frustration, anger etc, emotions do not equal sin, and when he was crucified he was so stressed out he sweat blood and cried out to God asking why he had forsaken Him, tho in his very nature God his humanness felt abandoned by God.
And while going thru all of that, he still managed to minister to one fo the thiefs on the cross next to Him.
There is an awesome song by a group called third day titled "Thief" the fricking song makes me cry and ives me chills every time i hear it.
