: I have never known a writer to stop writing unless of course he or she has died. (And even then stuff pops up and is published) Now as most everyone knows Matt and Ben wrote "Good Will Hunting" (, but until recently they either separately or collectively have not released anything else.

: In 2002 Matt co-wrote "Gerry" and Ben wrote "Push, Nevada". Five years is a LONG time to go between writing anything (yes I know it takes more than 5 minutes to write and make a movie, but even if it was written 2 years prior that would still be 3 years). I'm a writer (rather poor one at that), and I don't think I can go a day without putting something either an idea or even an entire (short) story to paper.

: One would have to assume that in that amount of time one of them would have come out with something (old or new), even if it was a pile of crap. Some studio could/would simply put it on the screen because of the writer attached to it. It makes you wonder if they did indeed write the blockbuster "Good Will Hunting" in the first place. Or if it was a planned breakout role and guaranteed star maker for two up and coming, and somewhat talented actors, that just needed a boost into stardom. What better way than an academy award.

: Oh, and please pull up your pants and put away the lighter, no flaming.
: If you can't post something intelligent just put away your keyboard.
