I feel similarly.

: i just wathced boondock saints, i think it was a good movie, i enjoyed the storytelling technique, and i'm actually for vigilante justice, but there was just something about it that made it lame at the same time, maybe some of the dialogue, i dont know, and billy connolly, the guys just too much of a funny personality to sell me on the ghost thing, and what kind of ghost just shows up and starts a shooting rampage, and dafoe in a dress??? i mean, not exactly sexy

-Although rather than great and lame, I split the difference, and go with average. I just don't feel the story was told very well. I felt like there was a lot of "just cause" moments in the film. We are doing this just cause, I am going with you just cause, he was there just cause, and they don't like us just cause, and some people like us just cause. And there are some ridiculous moments too. "IT WAS A FIIIIIIIIREEEEEEEEEEFIGHT!!!!!!!" Or whatever Defoe yells is TOTALLY stupid. Who would do that shit, really? Didn't care for him in his role. Came off as an "actor" playing a "knowitall, unconvential methods-type dectective".

-It was a good idea for a movie, but I just wasn't feeling it.
