It was Jason Lee, and it was a movie called "American Cuisine" (or "Cuisine' Americaine" if you're all Frenchie). That was the movie he was shooting when they did the commentary for the "Chasing Amy" DVD. He apparently learned the French phonetically. It's only been shown here on the godawful Women's Entertainment Channel, and most of the French he speaks was dubbed for the American broadcast. Which was a bit of a drag.
