For a couple reasons -

1) I'm in the desert where it's 90 and humid - AT 3 AM!!!! The high each day is up around 120 AND HUMID!!!! WTF, over?

2) I'm in the Army, so physical activity in the heat with insufficient sleep is part of the job

So the answer is - Do some athletic stetching, enough to break a sweat and get the blood pumping, eat some fruit, drink a quart of water, take two Alleve (good salt and analgesics) and take a cool shower. This will wake you up, and make you feel good and ready to do stuff.

If you're hot during the day, eat spicy food for lunch. Spicy food makes you feel cooler - why do you think all the hot places have spicy foods (india, mexico, brazil, indonesia, etc)?
