Once again, it's the lemming syndrome.
People generally believe what their friends do. And their friends generally are just followers also.
It's like going to climb a mountain in the Himalayas, to seek the WISE man.
After telling your family and your friends, quitting your job, getting a passport, arranging transport to many stops along the way, etc, so forth....
You finally get to the top of the mountain, and one of two things happen:
A. The wise man tells you, "how wise is the one that follows me to the far reaches of the world, and seeks my advice?"
OR:
B. You think to yourself, "How smart is this old f***er sittin on a cold mountain?"
