: Many thanks. You guys are too cool. Spent the day with the family, then Jen and I checked
: out "Pirates" (which was cute).
: As far as all this worrying about what this weekend's "Gigli" reception means for "Jersey
: Girl"... well, don't waste your energy. We're gonna be fine (more than fine, I think). Apples
: and oranges. Shit, apples and blowjobs, really. No further prognostication necessary. I
: know it's a hot topic this weekend for obvious reasons, but lest we (or rather, I) have to
: endure all this nail-biting speculation for the next eight months, let's curb it now.
: Whatever's gonna happen's gonna happen. If it's any consolation, I'm not sweating it. I've
: seen "JG" with audiences. I know all the stuff regarding the release plans for the flick that
: we (or rather, I) don't talk about here (or anywhere). And while I'm sorry that "Gigli" didn't
: do better this weekend, it's critical reaction and B.O. take won't have the slightest effect on
: "Jersey Girl". Take my word for it.
: I'm sure there are those of you who've been reading the spoiler-laden reviews that've
: popped up around the 'net for the last half year or so. Aside from the one big difference
: between "JG" and "G" that you might've read about, the two are just completely different
: films altogether. It'd be like worrying how "American Beauty" was gonna do, because Kevin
: Spacey's "Consenting Adults" didn't fare well at the box office. Or thinking "Jerry Maguire"
: didn't have a chance because Rene Zellwegger was in "Love and a .45" or that "Texas
: Chainsaw" sequel.
: We're gonna be alright. More than alright. You'll see.
Happy Day Kevin, thats why we are your fans. Accessible to public, almost daily. I too believe Jersey girl will be fine, mainly, because it's your work and knowing you will fearlessly stand by it. Unfortunately, not so with Gigli, the finished work appeared to have been stroked by unnamed hands . Always maintained, if one was to go down. go down gloriously and in whole.
