That it could be "premeditated" in the way that anderton had decided a while ago that if ever confronted with his son's kidnapper that he would kill him. And the precogs knew that this meeting would occur (or seem to occur)...thats the only way it could make sense.

: The Precogs can predict a murder if it's pre-meditated and/or spontaneous. If it's premeditated, the Pre-Crime Division has several hours to stop it. If it's not, then there's little time (maybe an hour or two(?)). Tom Cruise's character, John Anderton, is predicted to commit a murder of a man he doesn't know - nor does he know why - in about 36 hours.
: So my problem is, how could his case be classified as 'pre-meditated' if he has no intention of killing the man until just a bit after he meets him?
