They still profile who they were profiling, they have just added arabs to the list. I understand the point you are trying to make, but I think you are making it a bit too simple with that statement. Want to know who've I've seen stopped in the last months? Other minorities, teenagers, and homeless (or suspected to be so). And that's just the handful of places I go to frequently enough to notice these things. Hell, I have to sign into my own building, and I speak daily with the security guards - they have my cell phone and know me by name. However, that doesnt make a bit of difference when they are following security measures.
NYC is just unsafe, period, these days.
