I work right across the street from Rock. Center, and while originally I thought that would be a target, I realized that while it might take out the christmas tree..shooting up the place would probably only scare people away from Banana Republic and Saks.
Okay, now from the Post (not the most reputable source of news) the councilman is dead and the shooter came in with his staff, which means he may just have bypassed security.
This is just disconcerting. I mean, I'm not the type to carry weapons or anything of course, but I do realize that even with amped up security, I've walked into places where there were no metal detectors, no bag searches, etc. Fairly public tourist attraction types of locations as well.
